Rental Policy
Bookings work on a first come, first pay basis. We will not temporarily secure any booking, payments must be made on the same day as your requests to make sure your booking is confirmed and product is still available. We cannot guarantee availability the following day.
Making a rental booking

Payments of Rentals
Payments can be made via EFT or online via our PayFast platform; Most cards are accepted. We will only confirm your booking if 100% payment is received.The deposit can be paid in cash on collection or via EFT on the website.
Changes or cancellations
Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. The day your booking is confirmed the items are considered out of inventory for your date and thus made unavailable to other potential customers. This ensures you will have all the items you need on the date you require them. Because of this, we do have certain policies regarding changes to your order.
Any cancellations made within 15 working days prior to the event will be subject to a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be 40% of the entire rental order (rental fee, deposit). You may make date changes by phone, or email but this is dependent on availability. If we cannot accommodate the change and a cancellation must be made, we will unfortunately need to apply the cancellation fee.
Any items cancelled 2 days prior to the collection date will be charged at full rental rates and 30% of the refundable deposit will be forfeited. This is due to the fact that items will be made unavailable to other clients at the time of booking. The remaining deposit will be returned within 30 days of cancellation.
Rental Period
Weekday event (Monday to Thursday): Product can be collected after 12pm on the day before the event, and must be returned by 11am the day after the event.
Weekends (Friday to Sunday): Product must be collected Thursday or Friday (the day prior to event) after 12pm and returned by 11am on Monday.
collection & returning product
All rented items must be collected from Greek Unity. All collections and returns will require the signature of a responsible party for the product. Please note that the condition of the items should be checked on collection & return prior to signing for product. We will not accept notes of damages after products have left our premises.We do our best to inspect every product before it is picked up to ensure no damage.
If you will not be collecting/ returning the items yourself, or will not be reachable after your event, Greek Unity will require the name and contact information of the person who will be responsible for your rental. It is best to appoint one trustworthy person to be in charge of the return. All items should be placed back into the packaging they were collected in.
SEt-up
Greek Unity does not set-up the products at your venue. You wil be responsible for that.
OUt of town events
We only do rental within the Gauteng area. Please contact us if you would like it for another region and we can see what we can do for you, as additional fees may apply.
Missing or damaged items
If you do have missing or damaged items upon return your refundable deposit will automatically be forfeited. The customer is responsible for the goods from the time ofcollection until the items are returned to Greek Unity. Be sure that the product is secure and protected from the weather while it is in your possession.
Refundable deposit
A refundable deposit is paid to cover the costs of the product in the event of damage/loss etc. You (the customer) are responsible for returning rental items in the same condition in which they were received (clean & in the correct package). The refundable deposit will be forfeited in the following instances:

The product is not returned within the stipulated time. If you are not able to return your rentals on time, please inform us ASAP, as we will need to inform and make alternative arrangements with our other clients who may have booked the product.

The product and or its packaging is damaged/dirty.

The product is missing pieces/parts.

The product is stained or has water damage/ been wet.

If you have not yet paid a deposit,but cancelled your rental, you will be invoiced and liable to pay 30% of the refundable deposit fee.
